FILL OUT THE ONLINE APPLICATION

The home buying process is really quite simple, here is the basic overview of the process.

Fill out the online application, this takes around 15 minutes and will ask you basic info about your financial situation. When finished we’ll schedule a call.

I will answer any questions and review with you all your financial goals. 

 

WHAT DOCUMENTATION DO YOU NEED?

NEEDS REQUEST TAILORED TO YOU

I like to refer to the 2-2-2 rule:

–Two years of W2s/tax returns

–Two most recent paystbus

–Two most recent bank statements

Depending on your credit, work history, pay type, and more, there may be more (sometimes less) paperwork that is needed, but this is what is usually needed to get started for most people.

 

YOU'RE PRE-APPROVED

DO'S AND DONT'S WHILE HOUSE SHOPPING

Once you have your pre-approval letter in hand and you are looking at homes with a realtor, you will want to avoid any changes in the following without speaking to me first:

–Employer, pay type (hourly, salary, commission, etc.), hour reduction, pay increase, etc.

–Credit (refrain from getting new credit cards, paying off credit cards or loans, do not pay off collections, etc.)

–Bank accounts (opening new accounts, closing accounts, large money transfers, large expenditures)

 Changes in any of these areas, can compromise your pre-approval.  Let’s have a conversation first.
